Description
The Rotunda is a circular building, built in 306 AD as a Pantheon or Mausoleum for Galerius. During the Byzantine period, during the reign of Theodosius the Great Rotunda was transformed into a Christian church while at the Turkish it into a mosque. There are surviving frescoes inside the enormous building.
